Now, I didn't want to have to resort to this, but if the booru admin has officially given up, and anons will wreak havoc on tags, I think something should be done. I decided to make a new booru for just my cards, but then I realized...there's not really a whole lot there.

However, I am wondering if the rest of this place would be on-board with migrating to it. Anonymous tagging is flawed, there's nothing you can do against a dedicated troll. Right now I have it set up so:

1. Anon cannot edit tags
2. Anon cannot vote
3. Anon cannot upload
4. Anon CAN comment

Sound good? Right now its registration only, and registration is closed, but I'm curious if anyone would want to migrate to this place or not. If the head admin sees this, I'm not really trying to start a "revolution" or anything but anon being able to tag is causing tons of trouble for SEVERAL card makers, myself included. If anyone's interested in voicing their opinions, I've made a poll here. I really don't want to leave this place and I'm really hoping the admin comes back and fixes some of the problems, but if they persist, I may move from here myself.

I'm uneasy, since I feel specific anons having been trolling to pressure this kind of change. But I would like it if we had a little more safety.
We're already losing random posts to tag edits, so even though there are a lot of images, it's getting harder to find them anymore. If you're willing to open up the site, I would want to migrate my collection.

Well it looks like illusioncards has fixed anonymous tag editing.

This is what he said to do if your tags are messed with:

" If they start fucking with your posts just report your post and say they're tag poisoning or something as the reason. I read reported posts fairly regularly."

I don't really have words for what's been going on. I just hope we can have nice things.

I think revoking anonymous tagging is the first best step, because if they try it with a name, they can just get banned.

Its good that illusioncards is on the tag trolling. It won't help with the cards that already had all their tags removed though.

If you come across any posts that had their tags removed just report that post and enter "tag poisoning" or something like that as the reason and I can revert the tag changes. I check reported posts fairly frequently

AFAIK cards without tags can only be found by browsing through all the posted images. This booru is a bit too deep for that now.

People would just make accounts to downvote people they didn't like

Believe me, I've had experience with /tesg/'s booru.org booru before. Its far too easy for people to fuck with other people unless you literally shut the entire site down.

Thats because its soo stupidly easy to make alternate accounts

If your system is weak it will get abused, as simple as that.
With almost zero effort to discourage abuse coupled with how this sites work, we really cant complain about anything.

If you let it go, it will just keep on going.

I think its mainly because this Booru is 4chan based. I don't think this is much of a problem on other boorus.
