Some bot, or what I assume is a bot, is overtaking the entire comments section with links to some shitty dating website

It used to not be so invasive but now it seems to be getting out of control, like 50+ comments in less than a minute and if its a bot it won't stop.

Is there any admin out there that can deal with this shit??

Yep it basically has already went through 90 pages of cards

I guess the bot is fixed so it will comment on every single card.

It's annoying as all hell I try to go through the comments section daily and flag the links that haven't been reported yet myself. New users coming to this site are gonna hit that link thinking it's where they can get mods or something.

Tbh I think its time for a booru migration. It sucks because this place is like "THE" Honey Select booru but with no admin staff active, shit like this will only get worse.

90-95% of all cards on the Booru now have a spambot link to one or more sites.

Even if this place had an admin, there is a MINIMUM of 32,420(+) spam links to delete now

Kenzato has a WIP one in the works buuuut the site he's using won't have comments or tagging for a couple months. Guess we're stuck with this one for the time being. I would open up registration on my old Booru but I believe we really need to ditch Booru.org. WAY too many problems. And I'd be worried the spambot(s) would follow us there anyway.

I really wish these bot accounts got banned.. i've been seeing the same spammy post by the same accounts on every single cards i came across

Considering how easy it is to post comments, perhaps it's time for a small barrier to be put in place to prevent these bot comments from spreading further. CAPTCHA, maybe?

CAPTCHA sounds like a sensible alternative to filter bots without giving admin power to certain people doing everything they can to get it.

Hell, captcha would be a messiah right now. I used to don't care about bots, butthey are really annoying at this rate

That would solve a lot of problems, but would probably destroy mass uploading...then again mass uploading can be used for spamming images anyway

Can't the admin do something like other website? where if a certain comment get reported it just automatic be deleted. I mean for user who report it, not all people. It could help the admin from having to delete it all by hand, instead use us to help remove such a thing.

There is no admin. There likely will never be a new admin.

As Buffscale already said, even if they choose some admins, there are now a big load of work to clean the site.
But things change. When i was playing SBPR, we used a strange site, and then with HS it worked for a few days and then this booru was created for it and became the major Illusion booru... but things change. Maybe the time for a change has come again.
