Hello! as you can see some angry people past their time downvoting other member or posting bad and insulting comment, it would be cool if there was a way to protect us from toxic people like that, by some option, like no vote and comment for people who are not registered on the web site, and to be able to block them!

as it is now, downvoting things until they go hidden is just highlighting whatever secret club waifu these idiots are whining about.

that said, I gotta agree with you, as this behavior will make the site difficult to navigate if the abuse of downvotes grows.

To my best knowledge there's nothing illusioncards can do about that, unfortunately. The power ultimately lies with the booru.org staff about what features they will allow for their individual imageboards (illusioncards.booru.org is just 1 of 3912 registered with them).

This board is essentially a stripped down version of the Gelbooru image board. But functionally speaking anything that goes there will apply here (i.e. allowing anonymous users to comment - although on Gelbooru you can actually upvote/downvote individual comments whereas here you cannot).

Well Dom, since you're here (and it's in my name to try to be helpful on the forums), why don't I share my thoughts on the whole affair, since I've been observing since the beginning? You can either think of it as advice from an internet stranger or just some rando thinking aloud.

I have no idea who it is, but if I had to guess I would say it's somebody who you've seriously wronged in the past and they've now made it their personal vendetta to destroy you on this booru. There's certainly a lot of of anger towards you.]

Anybody who was willing to defend him in the first place is now going to think twice when he claims that he didn't use any sources. Nobody starts a build from "nothing/scratch". Everyone starts their character build from somewhere (whether it's their own card, somebody else's card or one of the HS sample characters). I don't know why he has to make it like it was all him every step of the way (even the clothing/accessory mods that he's using came from the guys who wrote the code in the first place). He has publicly admitted that he thinks of the game as a dressing game, so obviously that's where his passion lies (applying clothing/accessory mods to characters and trying to get a unique look that way). He's not going to spend days building a character model - and by his own admission he thinks 6 hours is a lot of time to spend on making a character model - or fiddle around with the x/y/z axes of different accessories for hours after hours and enjoy it. And he's certainly not going to go out and write code for new mods.

Which is perfectly fine.

Everyone's passionate about different things, be it applying clothing/accessory mods, building character models, doing accessory builds or writing code. The point is, nobody is great at everything. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and there's nothing shameful about admitting what you can and can't do. Say, I wonder if he's aware that some of the most popular cards on this booru went through multiple iterations through the hands of multiple people?

Why I'll use two of dynast_king's posts as examples because I like them (I'm sure he won't mind - because he gets it and he gives sources; and this isn't meant to detract him of his contributions either, because he certainly made very many people happy on this booru).

Off the top of my head:

1. Ryuko's base character model was made by Rador (I don't know if Rador used somebody else's card as base - assuming he didn't). Then dynast_king refined it and applied many mods, so at least 3 people there (including the people who made the mods).

2. Widowmaker post Id 1462 (http://illusioncards.booru.org/i...t&s=view&id=1462) went through the hands of at least 2 different people on hongfire before getting to this stage. I'm fairly certain some other person focused exclusively on making her head acessories (the clown nose configuration). So three people already worked on it before dynast_king took post ID 1462, refined it and applied mods (again, mod creators enter the equation). So at least 5 people took part in her creation.

I have absolutely no idea what trust you are talking about. Whose trust? Trolls? It's a lost case, they are just doing it for the fun. Hell! I used some super popular private screenshots for base just to flame them up more. Sadly it worked too much. But to be honest I didn't think so many people would bandwagon this event. My downvotes are instant and happens as soon as I share so I assume it's automatic from an external server. I don't think it's work of some group of people. I mean the downvote part. But comments and late downvotes are bandwagoners. There is no way to tell for sure if they remain as anon anyway.

I didn't bother sharing the source if a card had any base because it's troublesome. I simply didn't care. I'd share if the base was from booru or on an active image board anyway since it's only a single link away. I honestly answered when they asked and never lied to anyone. I didn't need to lie and I only act if I feel like I must. This was probably my only fault. As you said, I should have lied or stayed silent. If you do not tell the truth about yourself you cannot tell it about other people. But done is done.

I didn't even bother with mods I listed until too many people started to ask "what is this, what is that?" and answering all those one by one become troublesome too. At that point trolls started to notice me. So recently I started to list if it had a base or which mods were used. As you can imagine I avoid bases since a while and I only use HS sample cards at the begining; That shit takes long.

While doing this might seem "oh dom is giving a shit about trolls!" but it isn't the case. I just don't want to cause any more annoyance to other non troll users because these guys started or tried to start trolling other people too. I thought they'd stop after I only used %100 OC but they didn't so I literally stopped giving shits 2 cards ago.

I always tried to help to anyone asked under "any" card, as much as I could. Because I like sharing and I honestly think HS is just about studio and sharing cards.

I try to be open and honest all the time but in core I'm super lazy. I never insulted any of these people. I can't even log off from booru account because I have no idea what was the pass but I wouldn't even insult anyone anonymously. I think it's what really flips them; "dom doesn't fight back! lets maul dom!"

I don't think they know me from anywhere else. I just share cards on here and /hsg/ I don't need any credit or trustworthiness since all the cards are open and users are free to like or dislike them. I have no problem with them and I don't care if they have any problems with me. I'd just open some random blog instead if I needed stuff like that. I won't feed the trolls anymore but I don't think they'll go silent anytime soon.

Common, basicaly i share stuff from the orignal web site myself so peopel can dl these if they can't access to the japan web site + i share my own creation + i tag the original author as source, and these troll attacked me anyway cause i don't like how they bully Dom...If you take a look at the card list, many people post some copied card as anonymous without any problem. Maybe people like Dom or myself should stop helping here and sharing stuff for the pleasure of other people, cause well... None of us need to do that, it's just a kindness act. But people full of hate are gonna make this web site really less enjoyable if it continue like that. Cause when you tell someone to kill himself because of a game, it's stupid and mean. At the end none of the people who share and create stuff like Dom or myself are gonna continue and there will be only troll left here. This web site really need a way to protect and keep a good spirit. Hate have no place here. I already puted myself in this situation by taking the defense of Dom, and if i stop sharing stuff here, i'm not the one who 's gonna lost something... That's all :)

You know what you're right, i'm gonan take off all of the stuff from the original web site and Dom should do the same thing, it's not my problem if nobody can access to it. I will jsut keep my own creation.
