[Koikatsu - Help] Make accesories appear only in certain conditions
So, i'm trying to make a female character for Koikatsu (using HF Patch v3.2).
I'm pretty new to character making, and i didn't use much of the accesories before. I added a ribbon and two buttons to her school clothes, but i noticed that when she only has her underwear or is naked, the accesories won't go away.

Is there a way to only show the accesories when certain clothes are present or when the clothes are in certain way (in H mode you can lift the clothes and other things, so i want to keep that in mind)?

_______________________________________________________________
EDIT: If you're interested in knowing how i solved my problem, i drew the buttons in the clothes (You can use the guide i linked below) and chose a ribbon in the clothes category rather than adding it as an accesory. It is a way to work around the problem.

I see. I could do that with the buttons, and it would be better for optimization (having less accesories), but i can't do that with the ribbon. I'll search for an alternative for it as part of the top clothes.
Thanks for the answer!

I just read the comments where you helped that person. You did a great job, i'm impressed. But i'd like to do this myself, or i won't really improve. I'm experimenting with the overlay of the sailor uniform and using the opportunity to draw the uniform more like how the uniform is in the source anime. Anyways, if you have any guide, tip or anything, i'll gladly hear you.

Thanks for the compliment. As for wanting to do it yourself to improve I completely understand. Though if you have any questions on how to do certain things feel free to ask me aabout ny spescifics you'd like help with regarding overlays or if you'd like a more general guide covering the basics.

Then, i'll use the opportunity to ask something a little dumb. How do i know where i'm editing while drawing in the overlay .png? I know that the overlay is a flat image of the texture, but because it is flat and it's all together, it is hard to tell where i am editing, so i use the caveman method of moving my drawing a little and looking where it appears in-game.

I can show you some simple basics in that case that I use when starting on something.
I'll go ahead and make a quick basic guide. I do use phtotshop but it should work the same in most photoshop alternatives incase you dont have acces to photoshop.

I suppose you'll write the guide in this topic. About the image editor i use, it is Paint.net with various plugins. Thanks for all.

I think I will make a a guide with pictures and then either upload the pictures somewhere as a guide or I might make a PDF file and make that available for people to download somewhere so people can read trough it on their own time even without internet connection and stuff. Do you happen to have a preference for either of these options?

Well, while i like the idea of a PDF, i think you could do a Google Document. It can be seen online, and can also be downloaded, and if you want to let people comment or collaborate, it is easier to use it. But everyone would have to use a Google Account, so being anonymous would be harder.
In the end, the PDF idea is better for me.

EDIT: You can see the document anonymously, so i take back what i said about needing to have a Google Account.

If you can answer, here's another question. How do you put transparency in the overlay?

I read it all. I didn't expect it to be images-only, but that's even cooler. To edit the overlay of the top clothes of my character i was using the "Dump original texture" function on the part that i wanted to edit, but that UV Map used in the guide looks so much easier to work with, not to mention that it isn't all together like the normal texture.

While i was reading the guide, i wasn't sure why you were doing certain things until you showed the product.
For example, at the start, you use a white layer to make it easier to look at the Map's lines, but when you start with the instructions you don't mention why we're doing that until the end of that part. Anyways, if you read it fully you can understand everything, so it's not that bad.

You made some clarifications to evade usual begginer's errors, and i liked that.
Your method shows how to change the UV Map to understand it easier and know better where you are editing, and it's nice.

There were typos, but it's really easy to understand what you meant with everything, and even if you were using Photoshop, your instructions can easily be applied with many other image editors.

I didn't try the guide, but because i experimented with the "Dump original texture" method, i can see that it can work very well and as i said earlier, it's better than this method.
Overall, i loved the guide. I'd love to collaborate if it's ok with you. I want to add some info about the image editors that can be helpful and, well, a text introduction to the guide.

Glad to hear that the guide overal is good and clear enough. wasn't sure I needed to add the first parts about getting the UV map and stuff but, after reading your reply I'm glad I did.
I can see why you had probles before since you were trying to edit the outfits wihtout using UV maps.

Anyways, if you have stuff you would like to add I would be more than happy to add it to the guide. I think it would be helpfull to have imput from somebody who's new to this and following along with the guide since I' not always sure if things are clear enough or not.
